History
Henshaw Compressor & Engine Service was established in August of 1980. After 24 years with Dresser-Clark, Bill Henshaw Sr. formed a company where he could spend time and work closely with his family. My mother Norma, and sister Terri, managed the office while Bill Sr. and I took care of sales and supervised the operations of our field crews.
Henshaw Compressor was formed to provide field and shop mechanics for overhauls and maintenance of integral and separable engines and compressors. As the company evolved, the necessity of grouting the compressors we worked on became evident. We formed grouting crews to facilitate our overhauls, and lessen our dependence on contractors.
Henshaw Compressor Products was also incorporated and established as an in house machine shop to manufacture and recondition compressor parts. By the late 1980’s Henshaw Compressor had grown to a company of 40 employees.
In April of 1994, Bill Sr. passed away. Many hours of prayer were lifted up to get guidance on the direction our company was to take. The field crews were shut down, and a new focus of business operation was taken, providing new, used, and reconditioned engine and compressor parts for the natural gas industry.
In 1997, David Turner joined our company after 25 years of service to Panhandle Industrial. With his experience, knowledge of the gas industry, and faith in our vision, we have grown to be a leading supplier in our industry.
We are firmly committed to our goal of providing the best possible parts and products to the natural gas industry.
